3PM's Powerpoint point-of-sale system puts pharmacy owners in charge of their
front-end profits by bringing speed, accuracy, and accountability to the entire
check out process. 3PM's POS system provides a number of cost and time saving
features such as scanning UPCs, automatic promotion setting, item movement
reporting, posting in-house charges, and inventory control. The hardware
includes a 80486 PC with XENIX, cash registers with dual drawer capabilities,
and vertical or horizontal scanners. The registers are modular in design for
easy maintenance. Econolink features provide the electronic link between 3PM's
POS system and McKesson Drug for total inventory control. Purchase orders
created by the system are electronically submitted to McKesson. In turn,
McKesson transmits a complete electronic invoice that automatically updates the
POS system. 3PM's POS system improves inventory management, eliminates costly
pricing errors, and increases gross profits.
